Mazagan City Center’s ambition is to strengthen the economic, social, and human impact of the Grand El Jadida area. With this goal in mind, the project aims to become a national and international model for sustainable, eco-friendly, and socially responsible cities while capitalizing on existing active forces in the region, like the tourism and heavy industry sectors, and simultaneously emphasizing innovation and expertise.
Ultimately, this structural growth will strengthen the urban connections between El Jadida, currently the second greatest industrial center in the country, and the cities of Casablanca and Azemmour. By facilitating cooperation and strengthening ties between El Jadida and Azemmour, which are separated by less than 20 km, Mazagan City Center will become the meeting point for an increasingly united territory.
OCP Group also expects that Mazagan City Center’s success will provide a solid foundation for economic growth in the regions where it operates. The construction of the urban center will provide valuable support for activities at the neighboring Jorf Lasfar industrial platform, where the Group is investing in the development of the world’s number one phosphate processing complex, the Jorf Phosphate Hub.
