Three-step phased planning.

A sustainable city

Controlled growth

The size of the site (1,300 hectares) lends itself to three-stage phased planning. The first portion of the work will run from 2017 to 2024 and will mainly concentrate on expanding the university (UCD) and Core A. The academic institution will be expanded and equipped with teaching and professional development facilities that will accommodate equipment intended for research and innovation.

At the same time, Core D will also be executed, with the planning of an exhibition park, a Mazagan Campus as well as other accompanying infrastructure. Upon completion of this phase, 46,000 residents will be able to call Mazagan home.

The second and third portions, scheduled from 2025 to 2029 and from 2030 to 2034 will focus on Core B and C, with the emergence of the commercial complex, residential zone, touristic facilities, and specialized clinics. At the end of the second phase of work, the Mazagan City Center will be able to accommodate 101,000 residents, with a total of 134,000 upon final completion of the site.
